We operate this website and provide accommodation at Pansion Ivanka Barać in Međugorje.
2. Scope
This policy explains how we handle personal data through our website. Because we offer services to visitors in the EU/EEA, we apply the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as our baseline standard, alongside the BiH Law on Protection of Personal Data and applicable US state rules.
3. What data we collect on the website
The website is a brochure site. We do not run accounts, forms, payments, analytics or advertising cookies. We process:

No cookies. This site sets no cookies. The only thing it stores in
your browser is the language you selected (a
langentry in localStorage), so the site opens in that language next time. It is not used to identify or track you. - Technical/log data — when your browser loads the site, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically processes connection data such as IP address, browser/user-agent and timestamps, to deliver the site securely and prevent abuse.
- Fonts — served from our own website; no third party (e.g. Google) receives your data to display fonts.
- Map — the "Find us" map is not loaded until you press "Show the map". If you do, Google LLC (United States) receives your IP address and browser information and may set its own cookies. If you do not press it, nothing is sent to Google.
- Contact via WhatsApp — our buttons open a WhatsApp chat. If you message us, the message and your WhatsApp profile data are processed by us to answer you, and separately by WhatsApp/Meta under their own terms.

5. Sharing & processors
We share data only with providers acting on our instructions or as required by law:
- Hostinger (website hosting) — processor.
- Google — only if you choose to load the map.
- WhatsApp/Meta — if you choose to contact us there.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
Our website is hosted on Hostinger's EU servers, so your data is not transferred outside the EU. Fonts are self-hosted and we use no analytics or ad pixels. The only possible transfer outside the EU is the Google map in section 3, and only if you choose to load it.
7. Retention
- Language preference: until you clear your browser storage.
- Server logs: [e.g. up to 30 / 90 days], then deleted or anonymised.
- Enquiry/booking correspondence: for the duration of the enquiry and, where a booking follows, for the period required by tax/consumer law (typically [e.g. 5–11] years).
8. Your rights
Under GDPR (and comparable BiH/US rules) you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability, and withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. To exercise these, contact pansionivankabarac@gmail.com.

- Croatia: Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka (AZOP), azop.hr.
- BiH: Agencija za zaštitu ličnih podataka (AZLP).
- California residents: you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA (to know, delete, and opt out of "sale/share" — we do not sell/share). We honour verifiable requests to pansionivankabarac@gmail.com.
9. Children
The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
